Terms of Service
Last updated 20 October 2026
These terms govern your use of ChatOnTime (chatontime.com), live chat software provided by Workaholic Developers, a software company in India (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using ChatOnTime, you agree to them. If you use ChatOnTime for an organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to agree on its behalf.
1. Your account
- Give accurate details and keep your password safe.
- You are responsible for everything done in your workspace, including by team members you invite.
2. Free trial and plans
- New workspaces get a 4-day free trial, with no card needed. To keep using ChatOnTime after the trial, choose a paid plan.
- Current plans, prices and limits are shown on chatontime.com. Payments are handled by Stripe, monthly or yearly. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Taxes may apply.
- If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to your subscription.
3. Cancellation and refunds
- You can cancel at any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- We do not refund part-periods, except where the law requires it. If you think you were charged by mistake, email us within 30 days and we will look into it.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use ChatOnTime to:
- send spam or unsolicited messages;
- share anything illegal, harmful, hateful or harassing, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights;
- upload malware or try to break into, overload or reverse-engineer the service;
- ask visitors for passwords, full card numbers or similar secrets through the chat;
- resell the service without our written permission.
If you connect WhatsApp or Messenger, you must also follow Meta’s rules for those channels.
5. Your content and your visitors
- You own your content and your conversations. You allow us to store, process and transmit them only to provide ChatOnTime to you.
- You are responsible for telling the visitors to your website about the chat (and about AI replies, if you turn them on), for example in your own privacy notice, and for having a lawful basis to collect their data.
- We handle visitor data as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. AI features
AI replies and summaries are drafted by OpenAI from your conversations and knowledge base. They can be wrong. Check them before relying on them; you are responsible for what is sent to your visitors.
7. The service
- We work to keep ChatOnTime running, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- We may change or improve features. If a change significantly reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance.
8. Suspension and closing your account
- We may suspend or close a workspace that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk. Where reasonable, we will warn you first.
- You can close your account at any time. After that, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimer and liability
- To the extent the law allows, ChatOnTime is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost business.
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law does not allow to be limited.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you also keep any protections the law of your own country gives you.
11. Changes to these terms
We will post updated terms here and change the date at the top. For significant changes, we will email customers at least 14 days before they apply.
